There are some interesting photos in this collection.
The original ambrotype of Dorothy Bell (Simpson) is a negative image on a glass plate, with a piece of black velvet behind so the viewer sees a positive image. Ambtotypes were only produced for a short time so we can date it fairly accurately.
The coloured photo of the Coxon siblings is rare image of all the Coxons with their spouses, the exception being my father Jack Wilson who was killed in WW2.
