Biography

  • She was born in 1825. Research Note: We have no Birth/Baptism record for Euphemia but she appears living with Helen in 1851. It's a surmise she is Helen's sister.1

Robert Scott

M, #740, Deceased, b. 1800

Family: Eleanor (b. estimated 1800)

Biography

  • Family note Research Note: Little is known of Helen Scott's parents. On the basis of the Scottish naming convention Helen's father was probably called "Robert": the 2nd son was called after the mother's father. The 1st daughter was called after the mother's mother. Since Helen's later family follows that convention closely Robert & Eleanor are probably correct.
  • He was born in 1800. (DOB just a guess).
  • He married Eleanor in 1819. (DOM estimated from DOB of eldest known child).

Robert Davison1

M, #741, Deceased, b. 28 May 1798, d. January 1856

Parents

Family 1: Isabella Dick (b. 26 April 1800, d. April 1838)

Family 2: Margaret Ormson (b. about 1819)

Biography

  • Robert Davison was Presbyterian. (Robert may have been Presbyterian. There is no record of his baptism at Ancroft Parish Church. The two possible baptism dates are at Presbyterian churches. His first son, John, was baptised at "North Sunderland Cession Chapel of Burgers" in 1827).2
  • Robert Davison was an Agricultural Labourer. (In the 1841 Census) was an Agricultural Labourer. by the 1851 census he was listed as a pauper).3,4
  • He was born on 28 May 1798 in Ancroft, Northumberland, England. (DOB from possible Baptism record at Wooler. Place from 1851 Census).5,6,7
  • He was baptised on 6 June 1798 in Cheviot Street Pres. Church, Wooler, Northumberland, England. (This is one possible date for Robert's baptism. The date agrees with his claimed age, but Wooler is some distance from Ancroft, his claimed birth place. Also note Bapt. Date: 23 Feb 1796. This is another possible baptism record for Robert. Warenford is fairly close to Ancroft where he said he was born, but the date is two years earlier than his claimed age. Note his death record gives an age of 57 in January 1856, which gives a birth date of 1798, further weakening this baptism identification. His census records are all consistent with a 1798 birth date).8
  • He married Isabella Dick on 24 May 1826 in Bamburgh, Northumberland, England.9,4
  • He married Margaret Ormson estimated 1842. (Estimated after 1841 census and before the birth of Robert).10
  • He died in January 1856 in Longhoughton, Northumberland, England, at age 57y.11
  • He was buried on 10 January 1856 in Longhoughton, Northumberland, England.11
  • He witnessed the marriage of David Davison and Julia Ann Jamieson on 27 September 1873 in The Register Office, Morpeth, Northumberland, England.12,13
