The name "Robert Davison" was very common in North Northumberland at this time so identifying the correct baptism record is difficult. However the baptism record for Robert in Ancroft 1756, seems a good match in terms of date and place; the birth in Ancroft may be specially sigificant being the birthplace of his son).¹
He was baptised on 7 January 1756 in Ancroft, Northumberland, England. (There are a number of possible baptism records for Robert. See the various citations attached to this baptism fact. For the time being I have chosen to go with the Ancroft one).^2,3,4,5
He married Susan about 1790. (DOM just a guess. The marriage with Susan has to be verified. Susan does not appear in later generations which gives rise to questioning this marriage).
