George Coxon1

M, #1505, Deceased, b. estimated 1667, d. after 1713

Parents

Family: Sarah Hedley (b. estimated 1672)

Biography

  • The link between George as father and Anthony as son is extremely tenuous! Anthony's father might have been William, who died in 1723, or neither. The only known connection is that they all came from Woolaw at about the same time. However it is of interest to note that Anthony's first son was named George. See my research notes about Anthony (#498) and my Analysis of the Coxons of Woolaw.2,3
  • He was born estimated 1667 in Woollaw, Elsdon, Northumberland, England. (DOB estimated from DOM, allow 30 yrs old at marriage).4,1
  • He married Sarah Hedley on 7 January 1697 in Elsdon, Northumberland, England.5,6,3,7
  • In Woollaw, Elsdon, Northumberland, England, He was noted in the Poll Book of 1698 -"George Coxon of Woolaw".7
